Hilltop Villages Community Choir

Hilltop Villages Community Choir

Your local choir has been going from strength to strength for over 3 years. In that time, ably taught by our singing director Jenny Wright, we have learnt more than 30 songs all sung 'a cappella' style. We sing both familiar songs and some new songs that have been arranged or written by Jenny.

Last Christmas we sang at the St.Leonards Church Christmas Service and we have been invited to sing there again this year. Nine of our members have performed at the Royal Albert Hall with the Really Big Chorus, singing The Armed Man by Karl Jenkins.

With over 20 people attending most weeks we make a good noise and if you would like to hear more of what we do, or even better - join in, just come along to Cholesbury Village Hall on any Wednesday evening in school term time. Check the What's On page for precise dates.

Some comments from the singers

It's not a serious evening, we can have a laugh and relax.
The range of songs is far reaching from different cultures, learning new words and languages is challenging at times. I also love the fun songs.
Our singing teacher is inspirational. Looking forward to lots more new songs.
I really enjoy our choir. It has a very friendly, happy atmosphere and gives us the opportunity to meet others in the community that we might not meet otherwise.
It's great therapy, I never have any problems sleeping after choir! I also like the fact that everyone is welcome whether they can sing confidently or not.

There are no performances and no commitment required, just come along as often as you like. For more information, please contact Nicola Leat on 01494 758784 or Jenny Wright via her website at www.justsinging.co.uk.
